| Course Information |
| Description |
Intended for Non STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) majors. Topics include introductory treatments of sets and logic, financial mathematics, probability and statistics with appropriate applications. Number sense, proportional reasoning, estimation, technology, and communication should be embedded throughout the course. Additional topics may be covered. This is a corequisite taken only with MATH 1332 in the same semester/ part of term.

Final Grade |
Your Pass/Fail status for this course will be tied to your performance in MATH 1332. A passing grade in MATH 1332 will earn you a passing mark (SD) in this course. Likewise, a failing grade in MATH 1332 will earn you a failing mark (UD) in this course.

This is a corequisite support section for students taking MATH 1324 who are not currently TSI compliant.
We will meet for one hour each week to discuss homework problems, review student progress, and to clarify any of the material discussed in the course lectures for that week. |

|
Students are expected to be on time for each weekly meeting and to stay for the entire period, working on appropriate materials. A record of attendance will be maintained by the instructor. |

| COVID 19 Information |
The Lamar State College Port Arthur (LSCPA) Student Code of Conduct COVID 19 Policy requires students who have been diagnosed with COVID 19 to report their condition directly to their local health department. Students should also contact their course faculty to report their quarantine status. In addition, this policy requires all students to wear face coverings when directly exposed to COVID 19 in compliance with the criteria included in the policy.
